Pendant & Necklace Pentagram, White Jasper Star and Brecciated Jasper Heart, Wrapped in copper.
White Jasper and Brecciated Jasper stones are from a local RI beach.
White Jasper is believed to shield us from dangerous situations and balance those tendencies with the desire for variety, adventure and new experiences. Thought to be a physically stabilizing stone, it brings well-being, strengthens the immune system, heals wounds and purifies the blood.
The heart symbol is an ideograph used to express the idea of the "heart" in its metaphorical or symbolic sense. Represented by an anatomically inaccurate shape, the heart symbol is often used to represent the center of emotion, including affection and love, especially romantic love.
White represents purity or innocence. While a bride wearing white was often thought to convey the bride's virginity, blue was once a traditional color worn by brides to symbolize purity. White is bright and can create a sense of space or add highlights.
Brecciated jasper is also thought to provide mental clarity and focus to its wearer. The uplifting stone may help to increase organization and decrease stress. Jaspers in general have been viewed as symbolizing the variety that is the Earth, and all the balance and grounding that implies.
Pythagoreanism originated in the 6th century BCE and used the pentagram as a symbol of mutual recognition, of wellbeing, and to recognize good deeds and charity. From around 300–150 BCE the pentagram stood as the symbol of Jerusalem, marked by the 5 Hebrew letters ירשלם spelling its name.
